Katherine, the Costner technology can only clean up the oil that has been spilled. Six of the devices were supposed to be used experimentally. Right now all the focus is on plugging up the leak and it has to be done ASAP. Lord help us, this event is terrifying and all consuming for many of us. God bless you for caring. Love, Carolyn
