As I recall, from an ESL lesson I taught once, this is like the most famous song (sung most often a year) coming after birthdays or something like that! (maybe National anthem is above it as well) I love the game, love your poem.

It refers to Baseball. It was written way long ago, before we were born and had a different name! The Chicago Cubs and Harry Carey are the ones who put the song on the map in the 1970s at Cubs Park!-)) Panagiota See mentalfloss.com
