Take Me Home

Dear Lord
I know you are near
My head is heavy
And I am weary
I've fought a good fight
Mother is with you
I am ready

Dear Lord
Come and free me
From this broken body
Take me home
I can feel the bells ringing
The angels are singing
Singing of my reward to come

Yes, as dear Line has said, peace but no hurry :). The old hymn “This World is not my Home” comes to mind. Oh how I love those old songs...

Lovely, Timothy. It's nice to feel at peace and ready even though we are in no rush. Love your poem.
