Take Me Back

Tears flow freely
Sadness make not your
home in me
Hatred came close
Take me back,
back to the cross.
For I am lost
Take me back to
the cross.
Your words I've hidden
As people put me off,
push me aside.
I'm back up against
    the wall.
Take me back
back to the cross.
Angry words have been
    said,
Deeds have been done.
Blame shuffle from
    side to side.
Take me back
    back to the cross.
Back at the cross
Where your blood was shed
    for me,
Where sin, pride, and
injustice is placed.
Take me back,
back at the cross.
I spread my arms wide
I lay it at the cross.
I lay it all down at the cross.
