Take Me As I Am

Take me as I am

Slowly i make my way into the land
A land i know nothing about
I ignore the mocking look on people's faces
Ive gotten used to them.

I did not ask for this
I did not fight to.become the way i am
Its not my fault that i was in the right place
But in a very wrong time

I trudge painfully forward
Though i know.not my destination
All i know is if i look ahead
Ill reach wherever im headed

On this road i walk there are many people
Some will give you a helping hand
Some will ridicule you all the way
And others will look on indifferently

Look all you want, give a helping hand
But know one thing, today i walk this road
But tomorrow it will be you
And my request is just one

Dont judge me and take me as I am
For if you do the same will happen to you
For we all walk this road
With only one destination in mind.
