Take It Slow

There are paths and there are highways
The pace is slow to fast
I'd rather walk a path with you
To make together last
To stop to pick you flowers
Not just any ones
But ones that took some time to find
That stood out in the sun

To pass by fields and meadows
To dip our toes in streams
To sit and just do nothing
To nap and dream some dreams
And when we woke up later
After cognizant's ascent
The dream would just continue
Never would it end
