Take It Slow

Blinds darken the room, sheltering us from light

Shadows deep in the corners, reflect my feelings

I sit and watch as my mate slowly breaths

Some days It is hard, I see only the same girl she always was

For me there is no change, how could there be, but inside I know

This is a long journey with only one end, we have embraced this

Accepted no. But it cannot be rejected, there is strength here

As with all in our time together we remain joined

All we can do is take it slow.
