Take It From Me

Why have I come so far?
To destroy and burn
all my possessions, and what I stand for?
Why should I destroy what makes me happy,
For one night of "GOOD FUN"?

The question I ask you
it is unanswerable!
It is apart of my being.
To live a life of love, and laughs;
you must first go through heartbreak and tears.

Take it from a man,
who spills his heart out.
Spills his heart out onto a blank, piece of paper,
with a red pen, in his weak and weary hand.

Listen to experience, and think.
One night of "GOOD FUN", verse
a lifetime of love, and laughs and good will.

Think of the words, you have just read.
Then start to choose you're paths more wisely.
Just like I've chosen mine.

Chris This is a powerful and deeply written poem. You made it so clear that just one night of fun can wreck your life, so be careful what you do. Gives the reader lots to think about. Nicely done my friend Thanks for the wonderful comment on my Fun With Long Lost Friends poem Hugs
