Take a Stand

When you stand up
And ask forgiveness
Just so you can win
How do you expect
Me to feel within

When I sit up
And take a stand
In what I believe in
You stare at me

You try to figure out
How you can win this game
Just so you can do it again

How can I take your side
When you don't wonder
How I've been feeling within.

As I stand up to walk away
You confront me with your
Frivolous lying words
You leave me dumbstruck
I don't know where to turn.

I stand there with tears streaming
As I turn to walk away from you
I pack my clothes to leave this place
I just wanna take that plane to where I began

As you beg me not to go from you
I stare back at you and feel lost
Though I'm just looking through you
All I know is I just wanna get away
Just so I can feel safe within.

This was obviously very painful. It's a sad story but you acted as your own best friend and that is most important. The tears are interesting. We can't act with 100% certainty, and it hurts to leave the familiar behind even if it is a bad situation at the time. So my friend, I must go. My desire is to read every work you have written here. It will take me a while, but that is a good thing. I get to savor your wisdom and outlook on life. Thank-you, again for your art and all that this is.

Yes, dear, to this kind of guy you HAVE to take a stand and get the heck out of there!!! I see from what you told Stucz that you left. GOOD For YOU.

I love the stand you take... Closer to the safer side of reality. Sometimes I wish i could pack my backs, and take the stand i need.... xox~ Linda
