Take a Risk and Start Winning
Nobody has ever won, excelled and thrived
without considering taking a risk once or twice;
why be afraid of destiny and miss out on glory?
I ventured on the wrong path without
wishing upon stars, without tossing a single dice
or even consulting that Romanian tarot
reader who grinned and compromised,
but that long path had only stones and
no glorious dreams for a little boy.
I sat on that river bend watching how it flowed
through harmonious hills, wishing the eastern wind
would have carried me to infinity:
like a beautiful and bright balloon that soared
to meet the widest and bluest sea thirty
six miles away, but so impossible it seemed
to float over the bubbling waters
and follow them until they mixed
with the rolling, foaming waves;
had I had more confidence
in myself by reconsidering
daring words such as these,
" Take a risk and start winning! "
no hope would have been dashed
to achieve what others already had!
