Take a Knee and Burn the Flag

Take a knee
  Hey, we aren't free
Everywhere that we can see
  There's police brutality

City workers, raise your fists
  And go on strike
Milk more taxpayer dollars
For all the perks you'd like

C'mon, let's go block traffic
We'll do it midst rush hour
Show unenlightened folks
  Lawlessness is Power

We can't forget that while we're at it
  We've got to boycott Israel
They give LGBTQ folks there full rights
But we'd rather see Jews fail

Comrades, stand by to burn the flag
  'Cos of the Democrat's debate
Just one lone suit-and tie ***
And all those whites we hate

Then pull down your pants and go pee
On the streets of San Francisco
You'll never know how bad they smell
The din there's louder than a disco

So take a knee
  It works, you see
Marijuana's legal (Yippee!)

Then stay knee-down
  'Till America's drowned
By executive orders
  And open borders

So sad, right?! How many believe that a Utopian society would look this way. It looks more like “Pottersville” from It’s a Wonderful Life or Back to the future’s dystopian city when Tannen takes over.

Hey Gershon this is a wonderful write - glad you spoke out, perhaps some politicians will see and read it, the whole world is at war well almost, then terrorists filter through to any country, slipping past guarded borders, arriving at their destination, only to cause atrocities, violence and disruption. We should all take a stand for what is right! Blessings, Jennifer.

Yes, we should take a stand. Thanks for speaking up, Jennifer! We can do it without clenched fists, disruptive strikes, and burning flags, however. Thanks! :) Gershon

Gershon the disrespectful atrocious acts that I am seeing take place, the lawlessness, the injustice, the hatred and evil spreading is so disturbing. It is a very big concern and heartbreaking too. I will never stop fighting for what is right in whatever way I can. Thank you for your poem :)
