Tailormade Lies
Viral discontent that spores through the veil of deceit & denial
fabricating the shroud of pins, needles, scissors & surplus supplies
masquerading beneath the patterns, stamped, sealed and sown in
clothes horsing the anti bodies and scar tissue acting as shoulder pads
worn as the emperor out on display with obvious disdain
mimicked by ladies in waiting feigning temptuous trends
the textures patterns designated by design dated fashion
to embrace forgive flatter enhance all injustices
this illness manifests conjures and completes
travelling to all ends of fortune and fame
spreading the anti bodies hiding in plain site
the tailor dressmaker stitch sew such spewed out sin
transcending decades delivering no defeat
the unspoken words and gaudy gestures kept blindfolded
by the web of lies that tell no true tales
the secrets stories sewn stitched up in time
the thoughts, motion all seeing eyes blinded arc eyed
stored in the hangers of our minds motionless without mate
population protected performances waging the seams
machine driven medicated oblivion tarnished truths
the legends of lines unspoken go unnoticed
the lies that linger in plain site decoratively
embellished ironed out of plain site denied
featuring only in fictional fables in shortened hems
rolled up in pipe dreams starched to stand up tall
to swirl like skirts collared in only by the cuffs
twisted like stoic buttons steadfast soldiers at attention
rinsed washed neatly pressed ready to be worn again
