Tabula Rasa

This house is empty
without you
though you've never been
here to fill it.
I thought it would help
to find a place
you have never touched.
But all I am has
been touched
by you and there is
nowhere to go.
How can laughter echo
through a place
it has never sounded?

You have written an amazing truth here: that no matter where we go, there we are. Even if we go to a “blank slate” all we are is with us. Well done. Deb
