T H I S L I F E

A walk throughout the night
to wail beneath one's breath
can stir all of life's consent
Why worlds turn to weep!
Why worlds burn to sleep!
I walk the dream of life
release the reins of pain
and watch the self retrain
the Spirit and Soul I've gained
It sleeps to forget the walk;
a walk throughout our lives
And other eyes by ancient shores
within a place among the stars
that dried against the march of time
We go. We walk. Throughout the night
we go, we talk amongst our selves
and watch the self retrain
the Spirit and Soul we've gained.
