Thank you for the encouragement. Though my words are not entirely true, free range turkeys can, as no doubt you are aware, make short hops aloft. They are amazing creatures and it is certainly appropriate that our nation's leader pardons one each year being that the man whom had allied the French with our colonies united in revolt against England, Mr. Ben Franklin had high hopes for this proud territorial fowl of distinction; as our official National Aviator. How fortuitous that the majestic avis with its crown of stark white plumage (much like the powdered wigs of the period) the bald eagle would reign victorious over the stately turkey.
