Symphony

I'm the rat in the maze in his last dirty days, choking on the hand that bleeds I'm the lonely little child with the creepy smile who's seen what should never be seen I'm the one who's blamed, torn and stained by the ugly stench of greed I'm the sideways rain that holds you together at the seams I'm the soulless man, the empty can that rattles through the streets I'm the doubt in your mind, the love you hope to find as you cry yourself to sleep I'm the unspoken words, the dreams you've yearned but never would confess The beast of the night, your heartbeat as you undress I'm the lines on your palm, the tattoo on your arm of a tribe that you've never heard of I'm 1000 fallen gods Asgard and Ragnarok I am Nero as Rome lay burning I'm the Gaza Strip a dictatorship that never will be overthrown I'm harvest time, come reap what you have sown I am life as you know it I'm the chance when you blow it I'm the seed of your regret I'm the necessary evil, the bones of the medieval knights that fight like minarets I'm the end of it all, the pattern on the wall, the light that frames your silhouette I'm the dusk that you meet set to a string quartet
