Symphonie Du Papillon

The sadness of life eats me limb by limb No longer can I walk Tears flood my unmoving body I crumble under the burden of grey skies I lie rotting an afterthought The maggots that eat me shall one day fly high in the skies over the treetops butterflies with expansive golden wings shall dance and sing my dead eyes shall stare up their beauty derived from all that consumed me Death too shall dance in the skies sweetly seducing the butterflies thier wings shall flutter to the ground hugging my decompsed soul For all of eternity

Oh my, the power, beauty and sorrow of your words draw me in...how amazing is the circle of life. It can bring peace and comfort but fear and turmoil, too. You have expressed all of the emotions...hugs, Rhonda

Hi Etienne - I remember the word Papillon from a film - it may have been Paul Newman- found the imagery incredibly intense and sad and vividly descriptive :-( hugs Jan xx
