Sympathy

With her I cry
My tears roll down the cheeks
She cries for the daughter long lost
I cry for the pain she hides
She smiles as life has to go on
I keep her company as friend
My bit I do this way
She has my ears to pour in her pain
Pain and sympathy will go hand in hand.

Is it sympathy or empathy? We all feel the pain at some point in our lives and the tears are always there, just below the surface.
