Sympathetic Shoulder

Needing a calm place that'll harbor my tears, I seek safe waters to anchor my soul. And over the sullied waves of silence: one voice rises above the rigmarole. Sensing I'm on the edge of depression, your compassion pulls me back from the brink. And acting as my guardian Angel, you salvage scuttled dreams before they sink. Having felt the agony of love lost, you recognize the feelings I'm feeling. And defusing frustration and anger, you guide me through the stages of healing. Offering my heart a glimmer of hope, you assure me my suffering will end. And you console me: when I need to cry on a sympathetic shoulder, my friend.
