Symmetry

Floating in the pool of life
the ripples of our souls
branch out always searching,
always reaching,
for the light that is brightest
                   but often ending
      in the shadows of others,
but once in a while, they will entwine,
with a calmness like that of a meadow,
and a happiness that is divine,
and if the faiths be true
        the reach is eternal,
                        and if not,
let all else go infernal,
for the pool’s full of ripples
that is meant to be,
and in time
you shall find in me,
your symmetry.
