Sword

The sun flashes, light wanes As bitter tears fall like rain The blood from fallen like a stain As kings cry out for glory in vain The war is fought for good or ill As bodies lie with voices still An epic clash of steel and will For barren land that’s cold and chill Why do we fight through the battles and war Throughout history in tales and lore We forget what it’s all for The land is stained with blood and gore They fought for glory, honor, might They fought through day and into night They fought because they knew it’s right They fought so we could live in light

War is a horrible, awful thing, and if we were better people, it wouldn't be necessary. -Olivia
