Swim To Safety

I
Am
Swimming...
I
Am
Shifting...
I
Am
Breathing still...
I
Float
In
Dangerous,
Quaking,
Perilous
Waters
I
Am
Drifting..
Into a deep...
Sleep
I need to leap,
But how...
When I'm drowning in deep
Waters?

Forever, my dream carries on
I reach too high in the drifting,
dusky sky
The rope of hope is no where in
sight
I reach too high in the drifting,
dusky sky
All hope drowned and now I'm
gone
I reach too high in the drifting,
dusky sky
And I'm escaping the world's
captivity
I'm swimming to safety...
Disdain drowns my every
being...but it won't drown my
sense of pride and ambition...
It's my time to die, but I'm
telling you why I have to fulfill
my mission

Why do I soak in disconsolate
clouds,
Dear one?
Hand me a gun...
Might as well get it over with
I don't have the guts to swim in
these tidal waves

...I breathe no more...
...I kiss my demise and sink...
...I sink beneath the shore...
...I sleep and I no longer
think...
I drink in woe...
And the sun's rays and glow...
Where do my safety ship row...
I'm too late...I'm hopelessly
dead I know

I'm in the brink
Of total
Disaster

What a frightful scene,
Isn't it?
