Swim and Forget

The stench prepares me for the intense rush I get
When I dive in I go numb
Numb in a sense that I don’t remember anything else
Anything else from the horrible day
All I do is swim. Swim and forget.

This is quite a relatable poem, Bridget. I too am a swimmer, and I feel this on a deep level. -Paul
