Swept Away

This poem was inspired from the Ten Pictures, Ten Poems, Ten Poets, Ten Days
challenge/competition by Debbie Guzzi.

Painting #3
Lake, by Georgia Engelhard

Swept Away

swept away in silence
the tempest lifting me,
a brutal heaving
forcing my departure from home
a place I never wanted
but now longing for at last,
regretting many things,
rigid and cold

my motives to dive into the deep
cannot be undone
who will keep my memory?
will there be none
to weep this lost forgotten soul?
I think no one
only I

Loved the controlled emotion in this write, Danetta. Congrats on having this chosen by Debbie!

Danetta please list the form as Ekphastic so its easier for me to find. Technically it is an Ekphrastic done in free verse form [& there's no need to credit me for anything :)]Light & Love
