Moving through the day In a blister of heat, Sparks seem to spray And bounce off the street. Shadows are twice as black! The windows sparkle gold. The earth seems about to crack-- Frightening to behold! Backed against a wall, Moving along its side, I give a desperate call; There's nowhere to hide, "Help!" I cry. "Who stole the night? I don't wanna die! Someone turn out the light!"

Sure liked the humor in that last stanza... Not a fan of sweltering anymore. Used to be--- too many years ago. Went from red-hot to ice-cold over time! :) Gershon

Never go to Australia! There is no industrial haze to block all that pure sunlight from finding you! Aloha! Rico

Since we got a lot of snow here since yesterday, Australia is still looking mighty good to me. Thank you for the lovely comment. Aloha, Evelyn
