Sweet Voice

Sweet voice in my ear
You scold my heart for thought
Pray tell what would you have it think instead?
I know what it would have me do
But I cannot ask it
For if I truly love I would sacrifice
Upon his wishes
Nay I cannot ask him to remain
Though I yearn to
Sweet voice, I implore you
For respect, for my heart
Be silent
