Sweet Soul Surrender
Sweet Soul Surrender
She gazed beyond the windowsill where her oblivion stood an idol still
Sweet surrender her soul to spill tired trying to escape her innermost ill
Breath by breath amidst many a pill a calamitous climb on hindering hill
She didn’t move there was no thrill a scowling silence of a chanting chill
She never met glamour or fame only famine and fear the war to blame
Hardly walked with any shame a mother and grandmother she became
An Angelic soul a burning flame such beauty and kindness in her name
With gorgeous gardens she did tame a garden queen they did proclaim
The skies turned grey within the hour followed by a saddened shower
She stood her ground a tiny tower a fragile body like a fragile flower
The seeds of hope stained and sour she gave it all within her power
In her descent a dormant dour dramatic duplicitous death did devour.
