Sweet Sorrow
Listen to poem:
I have hid mine heart,
Within a prison cell,
Dark and cold,
Whose key, only you hold.
I have buried mine memories,
Within the chasms of time,
None is bare,
Those secrets, only you and I
share.
From thenceforth do we part,
From light and into darkness
do I tarry,
Into perdition,
E'en to the close of my time.
The memory of you, doth
linger,
E'en as the flowers, sprout on
graves,
And as the sun, doth shine,
E'en on the viper,
So I, e'en through the curse of
time,
Memories linger,
E'en to the sunset of my life,
These memories, a constant
companion.
This was my very first poem that I wrote back in 2012. I used to think poetry should be in classical English with thee, thou and thence etc :). But as I joined PS I discovered there are so many forms to work with
