Sweet Remembrance of You

In the quiet of the evening                               
I remember, long ago
You were here, our love was so dear
Your sweet ways
Filled my days.

In the twilight of the evening
Far beyond the fading skies
Never apart, so deep in my heart
Things we shared
You were there.

Love was in your eyes
And my heart took flight
Here, only for you.

Spring was in the air
Beauty everywhere
so true.

In the moonlight of the evening
As I stand here, all alone
Time was ours, we reached for the stars
Who could know
You would go?

In the winter of my lifetime
I'll remember your sweet smile
Even now, I see you somehow
In my mind
All the time.

Love was in your eyes
And my heart took flight 
Here, only for you.

Spring was in the air
Beauty everywhere
So true.

In the quiet of the evening
I remember, long ago.
