Sweet Refrains

Dawn spills hues of honey-tangerine
and leaves its sweet dew on the rose,
    Sunbeams sweeten the morning,
  With warm caramel glows
 A dulcet bird song floats
      and sugar coats the breeze
 awakening all the flowers
Which give nectar to the bees
I sip a cup of coffee
As a song my heart retains,
    The morning is a melody,
 That comes with sweet refrains.

How lovely, Joseph, and sweet too! I love the sounds of the morning...if for Debbie's contest, good luck, and thank you so much for your kind comments and the fave on my Blue Wings poem. I'm always honored and pleasantly surprised when someone places one of my poems with their favorites! Hugs, Rhonda
