Sweet music is my true love's native tongue - transporting souls to heaven's shores when she is singing, bringing them reluctantly back down to earth when her last note is sung.

Both husband and wife gifted, one writing poetry, the other singing. How blessed your home is dear John. You are a wonderful soul and having met you on soup, know that your wife is just as wonderful as you are. What a brilliant stanza and excerpt from the poem 'My True Love's Native Tongue' I will make a point of reading it and listening to the music. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

This is wonderful, John, as is your norm, and all the elements that I look for in great verse - congratulations, My Friend! It (and the photo) remind me of a Star Trek episode, (Season 2, Episode 2), called "Who Mourns For Adonais" - a favorite of mine!

Pretty sure that's the full episode - it's a great one, with substance and poignancy ... I think you'll enjoy it, Bro! :-) (The parallels will be obvious, I think - even the photo you used)

Susan Ashley is a hard -- nay, an impossible -- act to follow. So, I'll just say, reluctantly, that I'll save all my observations for another day. G.L. in Greg's contest! Music and Magic, Gershon

Of course, your musical title attracted my attention, John. I remember this exquisite stanza well as it belongs to one of my most favorite sonnets. This is such a grand and elegant choice for Greg’s contest, it’s such a graceful beauty. And now, my dear friend, I’m off to your page to read your inspiring sonnet again! Best wishes for win and warmest wishes for you, dear poet.. ~Susan

Thank you ever so much, Tom. I'm sure I will appear biased for thinking so highly of my wife's singing, but so be it. It is a treasure to me and I wrote this because I wanted her to know that. Enjoy your day ~ John
