Sweet Meats

Life from a fish bowl encapsulated ..above and behind the gilded dado's of peachy pink and flannel-gray of San Fran's Victorian Ladies Life wrapped with the ledges and overhangs and portcullis , frail, precious, half formed, half crazed, oft newly born each Lilliputian presence a sweet meat inside their saccharin selves. Life dawns, as a colorful array of hard candy colored covers shake forth from raspberry doors... coffee toffee liquorice bits vanilla suckers all with their surprisingly soft centers to sweeten San Francisco's scene.

For some reason this takes me back to one of my all time favorite songs by a band called Rush. Neil P. is the drummer and is arguable one of the most talented in the world! The song is called "Limelight" --If you are familiar, then EXCELLENT...If not...you may want to Google the song "LIMELIGHT by RUSH" if you have an interested in reading one of the most intriguing set of song lyrics I have ever come across! I love your poem here!

Oh, I know those Victorian ladies of which you speak....we have driven down those streets, and admired the colorful display of gingerbread wrapped beautiful landmarks, and ooeed and ahhaed with yummy facination as to who might live there. I love your lollipop descriptions! I do remember you said something about being there in January. Are you there now?? If so ENJOY !!!!! :)

Dang, now I'm hungry!!! Sounds like sweet meats meets sweets. Thanks for sharing Debbie - now, I've got to go fix some lunch. Candied salmon, perhaps.
