Notes About The Poem

Brillance

Sweet Little Fake Piety

Snowflakes
seasons, all four
pretty little gardens
holiday cheer
landscapes beautiful
be it mountains or the sea
painters painting
selfish to the souless core
yet tell me is so pretty
dawn, dusk and sunsets
clichés smashed with superficial
wrap you hate any way you wish
a real mother cares for all children
angels looking down
see the hypocrites
self-centered in floppy nightgowns
if I had a knife
and was them
I would fear myself
however I fear nothing
I whisper softly
the embrace of death
near

Its your own cold heart
you should fear

Gone in the toilet
all hatred flushed

The message that I got from this poem was that underneath the fake beauty that we see in pretty paintings and photos, hatred still hides. You did well with the imagery here.

Powerful write. Yes, all hate needs to be wrapped in a Straitjacket.

Arthur, no question that we should wonder how this all ends. I think many here have good hearts and feel the shame that seems to have landed in so many places....like snow. This is a very interesting exploration. Something very few people look at seriously. However, we have a serious problem with our species and the way we act toward one another. It doesn't bode well for the long-term existence of humans....but then, nothing lasts forever. If we eliminate our hate, what a blessing that is!!!
