Sweet Lightning

It's like resting peacefully
In the arms of a lagoon.
Dissolving into nature itself.

It's like waking up in the cool beauty of dusk.
It's like a greeting from flowers,
finding solace in the grass.

It's like a pep talk from the trees.

It's like the world consoling you for the first time.

It's like life giving you a second chance.

It's like a rainless, cloudless storm,

With sweet lightning cutting through the flesh of orange-lined dusk.
