Notes About The Poem

You can sing this one to the tune of that timeless American western favorite, "Home on the Range."

Sweet Home Jerusalem

O, give me a home
Near Jerusalem's Dome
Where the Saints
  And the Beggars still pray

Where thrice weekly is read
The Holy Torah that's spread
On the Altar
  Where her Martyrs have bled

Sweet, Home - Jerusalem!
City of Peace, and a million problems:
  God grant me my plea
For this holy city and me
~ That Jeru-SHALOM become her history

Beautifully penned from the heart, Gershon. A FAVE for me.

You're right. It was from the heart (as well as the mind's pen)...and WOW--a FAVE?! I'm honored and humbled. Thank you, as always, Line. Best wishes, Gershon
