Sweet Gum Balls

Those spiked thorns of sweet gum balls cause a sprawl and sprained ankle, close calls Sour my day, sweet gum balls curse you! so ill befalls! Once and for all, no sweet, no sweet gum balls-injury befalls your innocent victims, vicious, thorny, balls!

Well written. We once lived where there were several of those trees right over the driveway. How I hated them and how dangerous the balls were! Somehow, they never had a crop failure. Elton Camp

The only gum balls I know are the sweet chewy kind. Are there plants or weeds called gum balls? I really don't know so I am asking. I have to head to work so this is my last comment today. I have the kids coming for the weekend for a football game and then I work two full weeks filling in at an optical shop while they go to Hawaii. They get me a few times of year. Extra cash for Christmas. Luv Phyl
