Sweet Evening

I love evening
sweet evening
is when I see stars
scattered, twinkling
in their sky blankets

I love evening
that is when I watch
yellow sun descending
to her mother’s bedroom
and lies on a pillow
till morning

evening is beautiful
it’s when I hear crickets
singing hymns of birthdays
for their kids born
during the day

evening gives me love, security
I see it covering me
with armor of darkness
as I lay down in bed
to dream without interruptions
sweet dreams
about former sweet-hearts
and new ones on the way
I love evening!
