Sweet Desertion

To hold you again is my greatest desire,
To see in your eyes that which attracted me
The first time.

Al my dreams are wrapped up in your life.
All my hopes are waiting for you to realize
I love you.

I can’t concentrate because you’re on my mind
I can’t relate to anyone who isn’t
Just like you.

I need you now more than I ever have before
I need you now, and I have to let you go so you can
Love another.

Written when my ex notified me 6 weeks after our wedding he was leaving for another, 1989.
