Sweet Bird of My Paradise

Are you the sweet bird of my paradise? Your sunny hues on fluffed wings Promise warm love in dark hours You wobble with your soft cuddly breasts On the leafy branches bending low Round innocent dots with searching looks Gaze into my eyes through the glass pane Tapping on it with your little conical beak Like butter you slip into my open heart As a cherub's smile into his mother's October 18, 2016 For Brian Strand Contest 225
