Swaths of Death

Violent swaths of death,
      a ghastly sight.
Blood-soaked soil, a
      canvas of blight.
Screams of agony pierce
      the nights veil,
Echoes of honor, a
       mournful tale.

Deaths visage, haunting
        scene to behold,
Their last breaths, a
         story untold.
Gruesome remains, a
          twisted art, of
 mans cruelty, a world
           torn apart.
