The world is suspended with her on my chest; her breathing is steady and I am at peace. So much in this moment, both slowed and compressed; the cares of the day are forgotten, released. Dear Jeff, you speak the truth. We need to cherish each moment because when it is gone tears flow like the sea with no relief…such is my dad’s plight. O how he misses my mom. He goes on, but why he wonders. Blessings to a poet with a heart!
