Notes About The Poem
Actually this form, is one I created using blocks nearly defined a few years back, I call the STAIRWAY form. It is in it's polished state very demanding but if you can pull it off, be a work of art.

Survive

SURVIVE
Are you there and alone?
It's the way you survive.
In this stairway you bring it alive
but forget all you've known
in your heart made of stone,
In your place love can never survive,

You could have it again
but your love was a drone
now your blessing's to be just alone.
You're the queen of the hive
where you're never alive
but your sting never comes from a drone.

It's a pain you have known
so you learned to survive.
In this stairway we buzz in your hive
I should know you're alone
in your heart made of stone
in the place where you learned to survive.

There's a worker who's been
just as dead and alone
and as eager to cool any stone,
but the heat in the hive
keeps the dying alive
to survive never comes from alone.
