Survival of the Fittest
Nesting season will soon be over
Fledglings are peeking over the edges
Yearning to join their parents in flight
Nesting season will soon be over,
While feral cats await like ugly vultures
Innocent young chicks unknowing descend
Nesting season will soon be over
Fledglings are peeking over the edges.
Innocent young chicks unknowing descend
On fluttering wings, ill-prepared to fly
Until darkness hides them in thick hedges
Innocent young chicks unknowing descend
Mother Nature spares only the strongest
While the weaker chicks are doomed
Innocent young chicks unknowing descend
On fluttering wings, ill-prepared to fly.
While the weaker chicks are doomed
The stronger climb inside the camouflage
Flapping their wings to gain strength,
While the weaker chicks are doomed
Sunrise, they leap from the covering green
Flapping with all their might, take flight
While the weaker chicks are doomed
The stronger climb inside the camouflage.
