Surreal

You ever just feel like your floating
Above yourself, like nothing feels real
Everything spiraling into despair
Heart racing, mind frayed
Within every battle she faces
She loses composure
How do you live with it
When time moves slow, you believe
Who you are is you who should not be
But hope was lost long ago
That shy sheepish girl, now drowning in woe
Sinking into the deep
Waiting for the day
She emerges as something greater
She clings to that hope
That her days will be brighter, after all
They promised her so
