For the Pick A Line And Like A Hooked Fish Run With It. Poetry Contest of John Lawless

______________________________________________________________________-

Running with terror onto the lawn, they gathered outside my house, along with me and the birthday “boy,” my spouse. No more celebrating in the dining room would be going on. All my guests said bye and left, for simply having seen a mouse!

Dear Andrea, What a delightful whirlwind of humor and surprise. The imagery of fleeing guests and a sudden mouse sighting adds a playful twist to the scene. I loved your clever use of rhyme and rhythm, which hooks the reader from the first line and reels them in with each subsequent verse. Your ability to take a simple idea and run with it, turning it into a whimsical narrative, showcases your creative prowess. Best of luck in the contest! - Blessings, Daniel

Fun poem? Seeing a mouse, I would have fled too. I hate those animals. Lovely rhyme though.
