Surprise

What if the water,
Fell apart then caught fire,
And the ashes burned scars in our skin?
When the wind took away,
The pain we had gained,
Would we remember how it felt to be burned?
Would we remember how it felt for the wind to give us relief?
Or would we wonder why it happened in the first place?

This poem is based on the idea that everybody's perception is different. This poem asks what someone would focus on if a life-changing event unexpectedly happened. I would love some feedback please. .::James::.
