Surf

The sapphire surf is a lover
and few can deny her a kiss
that under her bosom hover.
The sapphire surf is a lover
and once lured beneath her cover,
she swallows you in her abyss.
The sapphire surf is a lover
and few can deny her a kiss.

The cadence of this rolls in like the surf bubbling on the beach. Congrats on the placement in the contest...well earned.

this is SO unique. I just love the imagery here. THe beat was not iambic but it was a meter that worked very well and because you used it with consistency throughout the poem, this deserves a top placement. Congrats in my contest.

great job on the tricky triolet. Love the "hook" line ..."she swallows you in her abyss". Good luck in the contest.
