Super Heroes of Today

super heroes exist today they wear nurse’s uniforms aprons, chef’s hats, they come in wheelchairs They speak to us from the driver’s seat of a bus super heroes live their truth they show compassion, lend a helping hand, uplift others They speak for those who have no voice or little power. super heroes do not always wear capes or a giant letter on their chest but they smile and say hello and make the world a good place to be

They are, indeed, our super heroes, the men and women in the 'lower echelons' of service work. They are the glue of society. Were I one of them, though, I think I'd trade my designation as a 'hero,' for a wage I could build a future on. Thanks, Caren, gw

I have had many of these jobs prior to finally getting my career, and I enjoyed many of them too.

Superb. Absolutely true. So many super heroes we know who never get recognized for what they really are.

We need to tell them daily how they make us feel. Tomorrow may be too late.
