Super Heroes of Today
super heroes exist today
they wear nurse’s uniforms
aprons, chef’s hats, they come in wheelchairs
They speak to us from the driver’s seat of a bus
super heroes live their truth
they show compassion,
lend a helping hand, uplift others
They speak for those who have no voice or little power.
super heroes do not always wear capes
or a giant letter on their chest
but they smile and say hello
and make the world a good place to be
