Sunshine

Some days I sing into the void
Vibrating with serotonin and enthusiasm
Unable to imagine a reality without a never ending stream of intense euphoria
Other days I am the void
Radiating melancholy and agony uncontrollably
My own intrusive thoughts slice through me like daggers
You called me sunshine
Yet I was shivering in the tundra of my mind
I'm reminded one does not have to feel warm to illuminate others
