Sunset

Wan shades of carmine and carnelian Dying in a sunset’s languid demise The flame of pink, the smoke of lavender Grudgingly giving rise…to Final feeble glowing light of velvety purple Then to Ebon soot of night

An absolutely beautiful, carefully observed evocation of an ordinary event. I really enjoy writing that incorporates a rich palette of literal color. Fine writing; fine reading. Thanks. Jack

Thanks Jack, for the kind words. I think only a select few are going to read this since my choice of words might be a little over the top for most. I always check out the work of poets that comment on me to find out what kind of poet they are before I reply and so I know whether to bother reading and commenting on their work. You be getting reviews from me in the near future.
